The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high amount here of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's sassa status check no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services position created for intervention encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
